I'm a civil engineer and master on industrial automation from the National University of Colombia at Manizales and doctor in engineering from the Leopold Franzens Universität Innsbruck, Austria.
My research interests lie at the interface between stochastic mechanics, machine learning and applied probability and statistics. In particular, I have done and I like to do research in: bridge aerodynamics, condition monitoring, Dempster-Shafer evidence theory, digital signal processing, evolutionary algorithms, Monte Carlo simulation, neural networks, pattern recognition, random set theory, support vector machines, stochastic processes, structural control, structural optimization, structural reliability, uncertainty analysis.
